SYNOPSIS ›› On their 16th birthday, every Bennett witch comes into their powers.

When Bonnie and Melissa’s parents are killed in a plane crash, the two sisters move to the seemingly, idyllic town of Mystic Falls, Virginia to live with their grandmother, Shelia, and her free-spirited niece, Lucy, unsure as to whether the two share their gift of magic. However, the sisters quickly learn that pretending to normal is the least of their problems as Mystic Falls turns out to be a hot bed of supernatural activity. With vampires to their left and vampires to their right—not to mention the hybrids and the witch hunters all around—the Bennett sisters don’t know who to trust. Good thing they’ve got each other.

• Claire Holt as Rebekah Mikaelson | 1000+ vampire, younger sister of Klaus, dated Stefan, tries to befriend Bonnie.
• Steven R. McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert | 16-year old brother of Elena, interested in Melissa, has ulterior motives.
• Zach Roerig as Matt Donovan | 18-year old human, befriends Bonnie on first day at Mystic Falls. May or may not have a crush on her.
• Phoebe Tonkin as Faye Fell | 17-year old junior at Mystic Falls, dating Damon, befriends Melissa, possesses some magical skill, jealous of Damon’s interest in Bonnie as well as Bennett power.
• Natashia Williams as Lucy Bennett | older cousin of Bonnie and Melissa, niece of Shelia, powerful witch who loves to party. Has history with Klaus.
• Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert |18-year old doppelganger, property of Klaus’ for the last 3 years in order to make hybrids, older sister to Jeremy who has been trying to find a way to free her. 
• Jasmine Guy as Shelia “Grams” Bennett | estranged grandmother to Bonnie and Melissa, aunt to Lucy, powerful witch who tries to teach them the value of using magic properly, an associate of the Salvatores.
